Gordie's Movie Reviews

I just like to watch movies. Here's a blog that keeps track of how I felt after watching them so that you could also watch or avoid them when you want to sit back and enjoy a movie.

Nacho Libre

I loved Napoleon Dynamite. I like Jack Black. I think he's a funny guy. Therefore, I was expecting a great movie because Nacho Libre is directed by the same guy that did Napoleon Dynamite and it stars Jack Black! The trailers looked quirky and funny enough too. I also like to watch wrestling from time to time. But was I sure disappointed while watching this movie. It just wasn't that funny. It doesn't take much to make me laugh but this movie was just awful. The jokes didn't work. Jack Black's character wasn't interesting enough. Not much of a storyline and even the action with the wrestling was pretty boring. I was fighting off from falling asleep and I was on the verge of sleeping but pulled through because of the action near the end of the movie. Unfortunately, the ending was the best part of the movie. It had the best action and the film ended. 6/10

X-Men: The Last Stand

I liked the first X-Men movie. I loved the second X-Men movie. The 3rd X-Men movie is reigned by a different director. I heard that some people liked this movie and others thought it was just okay. The trailers looked pretty good too. Well, I watched the movie and I liked it. It had lots of action. This one had less martial arts action, which was primarily the reason why I liked the second one, but the stunts and actions in this one gets good props from me. More emotional and more familiar characters are introduced in this one. We finally see, The Beast. Juggarnaut was pretty cool in this one as well. To put it safely, if you're an X-Men fan, I don't think it'll disappoint. It certainly disappoint me. 9/10
